To carry on this work, Jesus chose twelve disciples to be His apostles. They were ordinary men—fishermen, tax collectors, and laborers—but through His teaching, they were prepared to carry God’s message to the ends of the earth.

Wherever Jesus went, miracles followed. The blind received their sight, the lame stood up and walked, and those with incurable diseases were healed.
