Chapter 5

Act V

The flower market slowly returned to movement.

People began helping.

The child stayed close to his mother.

The scattered flowers were picked up.

But something had changed forever.

The husband’s image had collapsed.

He had walked into the market believing money gave him control.

He believed desperation gave him an excuse.

He believed his wife and child had nowhere else to turn.

But he had forgotten something important.

Kindness is not weakness.

A person who protects their family is not powerless.

And sometimes the people who seem the most vulnerable are the ones who deserve the most respect.

The mother had only asked for one thing.

Enough money to buy milk for her child.

A simple need.

A simple responsibility.

But the man she married had turned it into a battle for control.

Now he stood alone, surrounded by people who had witnessed everything.

The man in the gray suit remained between him and the family.

The husband looked at him carefully.

The arrogance was gone.

The anger was gone.

Only confusion remained.

Who was this person?

Why did everyone respect him?

Why did his arrival completely change the situation?

The question finally escaped his lips.

Quietly.

Almost fearfully.

May you like

“Who are you…?”

And for the first time that day, the man who demanded everyone else feel small realized exactly how small he had become.
