The medical examiner confirmed Mia's death was the result of a tragic allergic reaction.
No evidence supported the claim that anyone had intentionally caused her death.
But the investigation also documented serious failures in communication and safety procedures surrounding her drop-off.
The daycare strengthened its identification and check-in policies.
Only approved adults could bring children inside.
Staff received additional training on emergency allergy protocols.
