Martin Kessler had prepared statements for family members before the wedding.
If I yelled, they would describe me as violent.

No response could escape the story they had already written.

I read the message three times.

The phrase did not explicitly say kill him.
It showed they understood the weather and defect could create a fatal result.
Celeste signed a formal plea agreement.
She admitted conspiracy to commit insurance fraud, guardianship fraud, evidence fabrication, financial fraud, and child endangerment.
She also admitted participating in the brake-payment concealment.
The government did not promise probation.
Her cooperation would be considered.
She returned the authentic bracelet, wedding gifts purchased through diverted funds, and her claim to Whitmore Legacy Holdings.
Her marriage to Preston had never been completed legally.
The officiant refused to sign the license after police interrupted the wedding.

Then he revealed why he agreed.

One inspection concerned the executive garage where Adrian’s car was stored.
Victor said Preston entered the garage the night before the crash.
