The victory was sweet, but the clock was ticking. The school board disciplinary hearing was scheduled for 8:00 AM the next morning. It was currently 11:00 PM.
"We can't just email this to Principal Higgins," Maya said, pacing the length of the garage. "He’ll bury it to avoid a lawsuit from Marcus’s wealthy parents. They’ll claim the video is a forgery created by Sam. We need the court of public opinion to shift, just like they shifted it against Leo."
"We need a public stage," Leo said, his voice stronger than it had been all week. "Tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM is the pep rally for the regional championship. The entire school, the faculty, the principal, and the local sports reporters will be in the gymnasium."
Sam looked up from his computer. "The gym uses a centralized wireless projector system for the hype videos. I can access the broadcast network from the bleachers using a basic network bridge. If you guys can buy me five minutes of distraction, I can override the main screen."
"I'll provide the distraction," Maya said, a fierce smile playing on her lips. "But we need one more piece of the puzzle. We need to prove Chloe was the architect behind the viral upload."
Using the metadata extracted from the recovered raw file, Sam traced the digital timestamp of the edits. The editing software used carried a unique license key registered directly to Chloe’s personal laptop, a gift from the school's yearbook committee.
