Chapter 1 - THE SHATTERED GLASSThe sharp, brutal crack of the slap echoed through the pristine, marble-lined halls of the luxury boutique, cutting through the soft ambient jazz like a gunshot.

Isabella, her wrist heavy with stacked diamond tennis bracelets, followed through with the strike, putting the full force of her wealthy, entitled fury into the blow.
Ana, only fifteen and unsteady on her weak legs, didn’t stand a chance. The sheer kinetic force of the impact whipped her head to the side. She lost her precarious footing, her small frame twisting violently before collapsing onto the unforgiving stone floor. Her shoulder hit the ground with a heavy, sickening thud. Instinctively, her hands flew out, knocking into a brass display rack. A cascade of silk garments and heavy metallic hangers rained down around her with a chaotic clatter.
Isabella stepped forward, her red-soled heels clicking aggressively. She loomed over the fallen teenager, her face twisted in a sneer of pure disgust.
"Look at you… broke and disgusting, don’t touch anything here!"
Ana gasped for air, tears welling in her eyes as a fiery red handprint began to bloom on her pale cheek. She tried to push herself up, her thin arms trembling as her hands slipped against the polished floor. Her weak legs refused to cooperate, betraying her once again. She reached out, her trembling fingers brushing the hem of a discarded dress, but she quickly pulled back, terrified.
"This store is worth more than your entire life," Isabella spat, her voice dripping with venom.
Around them, the elite clientele gasped, hands flying to their mouths. The boutique staff froze, petrified by Isabella’s VIP status. No one moved to help the sobbing girl on the floor.
Suddenly, the deafening roar of a high-performance engine drowned out the murmurs.
A massive, matte-black SUV jumped the curb and violently smashed through the boutique’s floor-to-ceiling glass storefront. Shards of tempered glass exploded inward like deadly confetti, raining down on the high-end displays. A cloud of plaster and dust choked the air as the heavy vehicle slammed on its brakes, leaving dark skid marks on the marble.
The heavy reinforced doors swung open before the dust could even settle. Security details and terrified staff scrambled out of the way, the crowd parting like the Red Sea.
Mr. Vega, a man whose tailored suit could not hide the sheer, terrifying authority radiating from his fifty-year-old frame, stepped out. He didn’t even look at the destruction he had caused. His eyes locked onto the frail figure on the floor. He dropped to his knees, his expensive trousers soaking up the dust, and gently cradled Ana’s head and shoulders, stabilizing her trembling body.
His head snapped up, his gaze sweeping the room with the intensity of a predator.
"Who touched my daughter?"
May you like
Isabella froze, the color draining from her meticulously contoured face. Her designer handbag slipped from her fingers, hitting the floor with a dull thud as she stumbled half a step backward. Her jaw trembled.
"Y-your daughter…?"
