Inside rested an exquisite vintage diamond ring—an heirloom from the Sterling family vault that Julian had secretly acquired from her grandfather weeks ago.
"Julian..." Elena breathed, looking up at him with wide, tear-filled eyes.
Julian walked around the desk, dropping down onto one knee beside her chair. He took her hand, his dark eyes shining with deep, unreserved devotion.
