"I was just thinking about how we're going to need a bigger nursery," she whispered softly.
Julian froze. His eyes widened in complete, joyful shock as he looked from her eyes down to her hand. "Elena... are you...?"
"Three months," she confirmed, her eyes shining with happy tears. "Lily is going to be a big sister."
Julian let out a loud, triumphant laugh, pulling her into his arms and lifting her slightly off the chair, kissing her over and over again under the falling autumn leaves. "A baby... we're having a baby!"
"Daddy! What's happening?!" Lily called out, running up the steps with the puppy trailing behind her.
