Chapter 50 - The Unexpected Earthquake|

The crisp, beautiful autumn air was suddenly shattered by the sharp, demanding ring of Leo’s secure digital tablet. We were all sitting comfortably in the spacious, softly lit living room, intensely reviewing the final, highly complex floral arrangements for the upcoming wedding. Leo’s face instantly dropped its massive, joyful smile, shifting rapidly into a deeply focused, highly professional mask of pure concentration as he quickly read the glowing screen.
"What exactly is going on, Leo?" Maya asked softly, gently placing her heavy binder onto the polished wooden coffee table.
"There has been a massive, catastrophic 8.2 magnitude earthquake in a highly populated, deeply mountainous region of South America," Leo stated grimly, his fingers flying aggressively across the digital keyboard to pull up complex satellite imagery. "The local government infrastructure is completely decimated. All major roads are entirely blocked by massive landslides, and conventional medical transport is literally impossible."
"How many innocent people are currently trapped?" I asked quietly, feeling a sudden, familiar surge of intense, corporate adrenaline heavily pulsing through my veins.
"Tens of thousands," Leo replied, his voice completely steady but laced with heavy, profound concern. "The regional hospitals are desperately begging for immediate blood transfusions and advanced, portable surgical equipment. They have absolutely nothing left."
"Then we aggressively send absolutely everything we have," I stated fiercely, watching my brilliant son instantly transform into a massive, undeniable force of nature.

"I am already actively deploying the new, highly experimental fleet of heavy-lift emergency medical drones," Leo announced loudly, standing up quickly from the comfortable sofa. "I need to get to the main control center immediately. We have to perfectly map the treacherous mountainous terrain using our advanced algorithms before the massive aftershocks completely wipe out the remaining valleys."
"Go," Maya said firmly, offering him a deeply supportive, completely fearless smile. "The complex wedding plans can absolutely wait. Go forcefully save those vulnerable people."
