Chapter 65 - Preparing the Nursery|

The long, deeply peaceful months of the beautiful pregnancy passed in an incredibly joyous, highly frantic blur of massive preparation. The absolute entire family was completely, totally consumed by the profound, immense excitement of the upcoming, highly anticipated arrival. I happily spent countless, beautiful hours deeply assisting Maya in perfectly curating the absolute best, most highly reviewed baby items, forcefully utilizing my old, intense executive logistics skills to ensure absolutely everything was completely flawless.

We were currently standing quietly in the completely finished, beautifully decorated nursery. The walls were softly painted a calm, highly peaceful pastel yellow, and a beautiful, massive, highly expensive wooden crib sat perfectly in the warm, bright sunlight streaming through the large window.

"It is absolutely, undeniably perfect, Mom," Leo said softly, gently wrapping his strong arm safely around Maya’s waist. "You went completely, entirely overboard with the massive amount of tiny, complex outfits, though."

"You absolutely cannot ever have enough clean clothes for a chaotic newborn," I stated firmly, fiercely organizing a massive, completely neat stack of tiny blankets. "I completely remember when you were incredibly small, you violently managed to entirely ruin three separate outfits in under a single hour."

"I was a highly complex, incredibly gifted infant," Leo joked warmly, lightly kissing Maya’s soft cheek.

I stopped perfectly organizing and intensely looked at the two of them, profoundly struck by the massive, incredibly beautiful reality of this exact, completely safe moment. I had fiercely fought the darkest, most highly terrifying battles of my entire life to completely ensure Leo survived. Now, he was aggressively building his own massive, perfectly safe sanctuary to powerfully protect his own beautiful, innocent child.

"You two are completely going to be the absolute most amazing, profoundly loving parents in the entire world," I whispered softly, totally overwhelmed by deep, massive gratitude. "This tiny, beautiful baby is coming into an absolutely perfect, totally unbreakable world."
