The stunning, highly anticipated evening of the formal rehearsal dinner finally arrived, bringing a deeply warm, incredibly joyous atmosphere to the expansive, beautiful outdoor patio of our riverfront home. The large, manicured trees were perfectly wrapped in thousands of tiny, sparkling fairy lights, elegantly casting a soft, deeply romantic glow over the large, beautifully set wooden tables. The massive, stressful South American rescue mission was safely behind us, and the entire family was perfectly ready to deeply celebrate.
Marcus, completely looking sharp in a highly tailored, expensive dark suit, proudly stood up at the head of the main table, gently tapping a silver spoon against his crystal champagne glass to easily command the room's joyful attention.
"If I could please have everyone's complete, undivided attention," Marcus began loudly, his deep, resonant voice echoing warmly across the quiet patio. "I have fiercely known Leo since he was an incredibly tiny, highly annoying little boy who constantly tried to forcefully dismantle my expensive office computers."
A massive, warm ripple of genuine laughter instantly moved through the highly attentive crowd. Leo completely blushed, deeply hiding his smiling face slightly behind Maya's shoulder.
"But in all absolute seriousness," Marcus continued, his tone shifting into something deeply, profoundly emotional. "I have had the massive, incredible honor of intensely watching this young man aggressively grow into one of the most brilliant, highly ethical, and deeply compassionate leaders this vast world has ever proudly seen. He completely inherited his mother's unbreakable, fierce spirit and her massive, unyielding dedication to true justice."
I felt a sudden, hot tear softly escape my eye, deeply touched by Marcus's absolutely beautiful, genuine words.
